Course cv4faces
Assignment 5.02 completed.
2. Pinocchio’s Nose [ Advanced ]
Use the MLS + Head Pose Estimation to create an elongated Pinocchio’s nose. It should work
properly for images and videos of faces. Here is an example output .
Note : We have not tried it ourselves, but this could be fun.

I was thinking what result I would like to get from this assignment, so I wrote a toy program using “Head Pose Estimation” and “Warp Triangles” to see my goal.
I got these results:

I uploaded these videos to YouTube, here are the links:

In these videos, made by Warping Triangles, I show what I wanted to achieve with MLS.
I had a lot of difficulties with the MLS, because I didn’t notice that there are some changes in size in the original program and the coordinates absolutes of my points projected from 3D to 2D weren’t on the location where they were supposed to be. Another thing is how long the nose should be, when this parameter is low, there is no change in size, on the other hand, if it is very big and the pose of the face is extreme then the tip of the nose is separated from the rest of the nose, I used a parameter big.
I got these results:
